The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRFSO)
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and The Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006 require that the responsible person for any non-domestic premises must have a fire risk assessment conducted by a competent person and reviewed on a regular basis.
Having a Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) is not an option it is the law!
Many employers do not know that having a Fire Risk Assessment has been a legal requirement since 1997. It is imperative to check your insurance – It is likely that you will be UNINSURED if you are not compliant with the law!
